Make a Difference with Your Spare Change
Join Heart of Missouri United Way in an exciting opportunity to support United Way and make a real impact in our community. This year, the Change for Real Change campaign invites the community to collect spare change throughout the fall and fill up the collection containers located at each participating place of business. The change will be deposited and used to support United Way’s grants and educational initiatives.

Campaign Goals and Benefits
The primary goal is to gather as much change as possible to support United Way's Education goals, including the three-year grants provided to nonprofit organizations and United Way’s Read Across Columbia program.
How It Works
- Collection: Businesses will place the jugs in visible areas and encourage employees (and potentially customers) to donate their loose change throughout the campaign.
- Challenge: We are considering a fun challenge for the business that raises the most change, adding a competitive spirit to the campaign.
- Corporate Sponsorship(s): We are exploring the possibility of a corporate sponsor to match donations up to $5,000, amplifying the impact of every coin collected.
